Background and Achievements
Liuba Grechen Shirley was born and raised on Long Island and currently lives with her family in Amityville. She got her BA from New York University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Throughout her career, she has worked with companies that form partnerships between NGOs, government groups, and businesses. She has spent much of her time working on women’s empowerment, serving with organizations including Women Deliver, Paid Leave for the US, Vital Voices, and UN Women. In the community, she founded New York’s 2ndDistrict Democrats to help more Long Islanders get involved with politics.
