Attorney and civil rights activist Joe Neguse is running for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, a safely blue open seat.
Background and Achievements
Joe is the child of African refugees, a story which inspired him to run for Congress after incumbent Jared Polis decided to not run for re-election and instead seek a bid for Governor. Joe graduated from the University of Colorado summa cum laude and immediately began working for a former Colorado House Speaker. Throughout his career, he has helped to register over 150,000 young voters through his organization, New Era Colorado. In 2008, Joe was elected to the Colorado University Board of Regents and helped to make higher education accessible. Later, he began working in Colorado’s consumer protection agency.
