She assisted in creating the Jaguar XF, one of the most successful Ford cars ever. Her thirty years at Ford are just the beginning of her impressive career, she later served as Congressman Joe Sestak’s Chief of Staff, helped to develop the Affordable Care Act, was nominated to serve as the Director of the U.S. Mint (a position which the Senate never voted on), and as the Interim President of Seton Hall University.

Prospects & Opponents

Bibie is running against a Republican State Senator Guy Reschenthaler. Bibie won her crowded primary with more than 20 points ahead of the second-place vote-getter. The district voted for Trump, but following the resignation of Republican Tim Murphy, but much of the district voted for Democrat Conor Lamb in a special election. After the special election, Pennsylvania House districts, the result of a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision, were redistricted. Lamb chose to run in the new district 17, which includes Pittsburgh suburbs. While the district will be hard to win, a Democrat has done it before.
